The plot

In “Dr. Crypto,” you compete against Dr. Crypto, a criminal who has taken several hostages and locked them in rooms throughout the city. Your mission is to solve the puzzles created by Dr. Crypto to free the hostages. The team that accumulates the most money will win the game.

Of course, rescuing the hostages won’t be easy. Using the team leader’s smartphone, each team has an hour and a half to free as many hostages as possible.

You will explore virtual locations to find the rooms where the hostages are held. As you move around, you will also have the chance to collect more information. Your intelligence will be tested, and you will need to use the clues wisely to rescue the hostages.

Found a hostage? Then try to decrypt their lock code in less than fifteen minutes to earn bonus money. If you’re stuck, you can purchase an extra hint. Be careful; any wrong answer will cost you money! Which team will manage to free the most hostages while keeping the most money?

How does it work?

Each team can only use one smartphone. Once the app is launched, numerous gray GPS markers will appear on the map. Once you reach one of them, it will change color (for example, to blue), as well as all other points linked to that hostage. At each location you visit, a part of the puzzle will automatically be displayed, allowing you to find the code to unlock the hostage’s cell. You will need to visit the other markers to fully decipher it. You will certainly have to work together because the puzzles left by the criminal are varied and require a variety of skills. You have 100 minutes to free as many hostages as possible. The hostages are counting on you.

Needless to say, the hostages are virtual. We don’t lock up boys or girls in cells in the middle of the city.
